Lynnhaven SAH Galathea (pronounced Gu-la-te-u) aka "Tia". We are giddy with delight to have this beautiful Lynnhaven doe at our farm!
Special thanks go out to Janelle at Zuniga Farms, and Lynn Fleming at Lynnhaven Dairy Goats, for this absolute pleasure!!! This pic was taken by my son, Michael (8 years old - he's awesome!!) on July 29th, 2008. She is milked in the morning and has her doeling with her during the day, so she is not "uddered up" at all. Here is an udder pic of her before a milking:
"Tia" is a beautiful black and white (with roaning as well) doe, with a spectacular udder! She has great attachment, and teat placement and HUGE (but tight) orifices that allow for lightening fast milk out.
She is a 4-year old Registered Purebred Nubian, with incredible bloodlines! Tia's maternal granddam is GCH Lynnhaven E. Gwen, 9*M (see Reference Page). On her other side she has SGCH Lynnhaven DHJ Summer Breeze, 6*M (see Reference Page), as her paternal granddam, and Kastdemur's Crown Explorer as her paternal grandsire. Tia is a gentle, eager to please, sweet natured doe. UPDATE: April 13th, 2009 - I milked Tia out last week in the morning (the only time I milk my "nursing does"), and she gave me 1 gallon for the morning milking!! That is AWESOME! Her kids (trips this year) are with her during the day, they keep her "milked out", so no PM milking till after they are weaned.
Tia is my "Purebred Show goat" line at the farm. If you are looking for show quality purebred goats, this is the doe that you will want kids from! See our "2009 Goat Kids" and "For Sale" page for further details. Click here to see Tia's pedigree Lynnhaven SAH Galathea.

Tia tested CAE negative March 14th, 2009, through BioTracking.
Land Of Havilah Sonador aka "Sonya". The above pic was taken on June 12th, 2009. As you can see, Sonya is developing into a beautiful doe!
Sonya has strong "milking" and "show ring" bloodlines behind her - including 3 ELITE BUCKS: ++*B SGCH Kismet Marvins Smooth Operator, ++*B SGCH Hallcienda Frosty Marvin, and +*B SGCH H-Homestead Spotted Elk!
"Sonya" is our 2007 baby that we kept for our herd. She is a 2 year old Recorded Grade (50% American) Nubian. Sonya is long, level and tall, Starcrosst Gabriel is her sire, and we were so pleased with her that we retained her for our herd.
Sonya is my "family milker" line here at our farm - as she is a Recorded Grade (50% American Nubian) and kids out of her will not cost as much as Purebred kids. Sonya is scheduled for breeding in January 2009 (for June 2009 kids), as she has matured beautifully! If you want a sweet doe that is a wonderful producer, this is the doe that you will want kids from this spring/summer!

Land of Havilah ShekinahGlory Shekinah is Tia's 2008 daughter. We are so pleased with her dam that we retained Shekinah for our herd, and I'm really happy with her! She is so much like her half sister, Sonador, that I have to look closely at times to tell them apart. My nine year old son, Michael, took these pix of Shekinah & I. As you can see, she is long and level, has nice leg placement and angulation. Her pasterns are soft in this pic, she has a higher selenium requirement than my other does. When her requirement is met, her pasterns are very strong. I'm concerned about giving too much selenium, so she is soft in this one - I'll get it figured out, I'm just doing it very carefully. I really like how solid and long her body is, nice chine and loin. Her ears are an improvement over her dam's, as they go over an inch past her nose. She has a nice roman nose, and she is really smart, plus she's very friendly and easy to work with.
Shekinah has a beautiful mammery: symmetrical with a very nice medial, excellent attachment all around, and has a high rear udder at 2 1/2 inches below the vulva. This is her first freshening, so I expect her rear udder to be even higher next year. I would like to see her teat placement a bit more centered, but they are extremely easy to milk.

Shekinah kidded on May 18th, 2009, with one pretty buckling! According to my boys, his name is Jet. :) Jet is available for sale. See the "For Sale: 2009 Goat Kids" page for further details.
